Max Level is 50 currently, I don't know if there is plans to raise it in future updates.

Quick question that I'm sure will benefit others who are new to the game besides myself. First how viable is it to keep a gladiator out of arena fights and just do tavern missions to train them to a point were the owner is comfortable with their skills? Second ; Does training your gladiators base stats count toward the 100 skill point total limit?

You can only do so many tavern missions before you have to fight in the arena, ie. you can't go on tavern missions forever without fighting in the arena.
Stat trains don't count towards total skills.
