Is it possible to get a shoutbox or an official chat channel build into the game?

a lot of vets are on the unofficial chat site and it's a blast atm, but we're only on because it's been preorganised. a shoutbox/integrated chat would probably prompt more communication between players


to elaborate, it'd be cool to have a shoutbox incorporated into the forum and maybe have a dedicated chat implimented down the track. it'd certainly be easier to make a shoutbox even if it is just an interim.

as for a dedicated chat, i'd love one that opened to a separate window, and within it, it had a general chat, but could also have tabs for each specialty, a private chat with individuals, and a chat tab for certain groups/ranks.
