i benched 3 of my glads. only kharn and rarg are competing.

i'm not looking forward to facing lots of theatric glads which will be a guessing game for strat..... but atleast there are ragers for to take a club to and hope for a kill :P

Interesting read.

I benched and SOLD my best and oldest gladiator Brutus when these new Blood Games started. Entered Conan, who is RAGE only. He seems to be pretty good at the higher level, and much better than Brutus who was WAR.

Also interesting is the amount of time and money I spent on Brutus - just to now sell him off. It felt like the right thing to do though... yeah, I am a tough master :-p

Blood games IV just started with 80 gladiators entered by 28 managers. Frede 13, Oedi 12, Crow 8, Apoca1ypse 5, CainDeSolis 4, 3 with 3, 9 with 2 and 11 with 1.

45 rages: 25 of those DW, and 20 use a 2H.
20 theatrics: 5 usually use sword&shiled, 15 usually DW.
15 war: 3 usually use sword&shield, 6 usually DW, 3 use polearm, and 3 use 2H.

I really thought ragers would do better in the current format. It really did look like that until the end of last months tourney. In the last few days most of the rage gladiators was pushed down the ranks and left only 2 in the top 10.
Final top 10 from BG III looks like this: 5 war, (1 pole arm, 1 2H, 3 DW) 3 theatrics, (1 S&S, 2 dW) 2 rage(2 DW)
Ragers did in fact do alot better in the last tourney where they claimed 5 of the top 10, and 1 top 5 spot for 2h rage Sliver.

One explaination could be that this time 2 managers claimed 7 of the top 10 slots and they mainly play war(crow) and theatrics(oedi).

Losing points for deaths certainly isn't helping the rages with their propensity for biting the dust. My young rage died a whopping 6 times (I think probably the most in the tourney hehe), though still finished decently over .500 I think.

15 are useing a 2 handed weapon: 2 uses a flamberge/greatsword, 3 uses a great axe, 4 uses battle flail, 4 useing chain & ball, 2 uses giant club.

11 are useing axe & mace: 2 are dual wielding axes, 3 are dual wielding maces, 3 uses mace with off hand axe, 2 useing axe with offhand mace, 1 uses a single mace.

1 is useing other: dual wielding blade with an off hand mace.
