Are there random sources of damage that can occur in a fight? this was a tavern mission but the snivler I was fighting randomly got hurt by a trap. Is this AI fights only or can it happen in arena/black market fights as well? (aside from the crowd getting bored).

i think those are random damage statements when the activity level is too low and nothing is happening.

Yup same here, i saw this one today:
A flock of starving birds swoops down from the sky and begins tearing the flesh from VARQ's body! (+17 Damage)
Really.... birds....

It never stated how big the birds are and what kind of beak they have it matters alot in the damage they do
He should be happy it was only 17 damage I don't want to imagine how dangerous the birds from the Great Realm could be xD
