If you are already producing top level crits you won't see a difference, but against more heavily armored opponents or those with higher defense you are likely scoring more top level crits than you would have otherwise.

in the process of unlearning that skill now with all of my rages, because i pretty much see no difference myself. kinda wish i had never spent the time and points on it anyhow...
