Why not have team based fights? Rival stables could pit their gladiators against each other to not just prove their individual gladiator's prowess, but the leadership of the stable master.

i think it would be great. i know that i have a few select stables on my watch list that have gladiators around my bracket that are really good. I think it would be awesome if one could challenge such stables to prove their mettle

There are plans in future expansions to have multiple gladiators in the arena at one time (i.e. free-for-all, team fights, etc)
