Red shade on armor?

Hi all,

Apologies as I'm sure this is obvious - but I can't spot it in the forum and can't find the right phrase to search on.

On the equipment page for one of my fighters some of the armor is showing up with a kind of red shaded background. This is on the chest arm and leg pieces - but not the helmet or weapons. Never seen this before and it's not on any of my other fighters. What does this shading mean?
