    Unidentified Items

    If you were to equip an unidentified item would it yield no benefits at all? Or would you get the benefits of the item?

    You can't equip unidentified items.

    You gotta head into the blacksmith and identify it (click the identify item tab in Blacksmith). If you don't ID it, you can't equip it.
