Surprise Ending taking on the benefit of opponent's attack

Surpise ending took on the effects of Adrenaline Rush. I can confirm for the following rounds skin flayer did indeed receive much less damage than normal so the effect is real.

That's what it is capable of doing when triggering fully at an optimal time.

In an amazing display of skill your gladiator will redirect the oncoming strike and possibly any skill effects back to the attacker. Surprise!

Yeah, that's normal as I understand it to work. The wording of the skill is little ambiguous though and could probably be clarified more.

By its wording, it's reflecting an offensive effect back to the attacker, not take on a buff from the attacker. Those are two different things.

Actually the offensive effect of the attack is a buff to the gladiator that uses it.
Suprise Ending against Adrenaline rush means you do the damage to the other gladiator and in this case you also use the effect along with it which is the buff

Ehh, I see what peeps are saying, but it stills defies common sense a bit...
It would have made more sense if the surprise to adrenal rush was to give the rage a damage vulnerability in place of damage resist, instead of the theatric suddenly bulging their veins.
