Actually, that is a surprise ending to surprise ending!

Help me out here in reading this. It looks as if nothing was redirected back to Blarg, however the damage was not applied to Solstice (or Blarg), yet the crit effects were applied to Solstice instead of Blarg. Is that correct?

The effect did not apply to Blarg, but did take out 627 health of Solstice, as if the Surprise Ending did not work at all.

Solstice health dropped from the norm 1225 to 599 from the 627 hit. I can't show Solstice's beginning health since it was the first swing. And yes, all the crits applied to Solstice. Indeed a not so happy surprise for Solstice

Edit: I think what is going on here is Crippling Might has a chance to prevent defensive skills from going off, so I *think* what happened here is Surprise Ending was trumped by Crippling Might but it still printed out the Surprise Ending sentence...

When you see your defensive skills failing it's because a rage hit you with Crippling Might, it probably also cancels out Never Say Die though that's no excuse yet as to why it doesn't always trigger vs wars/theatrics when youre losing :P

Crippling Might seems to work as a counter against pretty much every defensive skill. If you see something odd about a defensive skill not working most of the time it will be because of Crippling Might :P
