My experiment with a tiny theatrics

I've always played that "bigger is better" in pit of war, so i ran a glad specifically to see if a tiny glad could have a chance specifically a theatrics, Landiss is this glad.

    Original stats as a slave:

    66 str 82 int 83 agil 87 stam, 55 size, 59 pres, 56 chi

Picked Dunger for race to balance the low str (probably would be better as a trug).

Current stats in gear + 2 achievements (250 hit points and 10 str) at level 50

    146 str 99 int 123 agil 135 stam 55 size 105 pres, 78 chi 1781 hit points

    Build:
Barreling attack 10, brute force 10, last stand 10
    Feint 10, create distance 10, athleticism 10
Exotic weapons 10, signature move 10, Gratutous violence 10, Heavy Scarring 10

This build i personally believe is the perfect exotic weapon build with the current trees, it does take a rather large amount of trophies to pull off.

    current record:
    1327-965-56

I have found that having a smaller size on her has not really hindered her at all she has made as far as the top 3 in primus and is constantly in the top 10, has good success vs all 3 gladiator styles in the arena.

So in my opinion if you find a small warrior that has other stats you like go for it, it can work.

Tiny guys are hard to hit... I have a 'tiny avenger' as well, was meant to be an experiment but turned out well despite unspectacular stats.
    I totally second this.

I tried this as well with Toe Foo. While picking Sniveler for race didn't help much in the damage taking department, she had stats that I though might make a fun glad:

    85 str, 60 int, 92 agi, 60 stam, 57 size, 76 pres, 63 chi.

In the end she has at least one big strike against here in the stamina/race department. I never finished the build, so won't know exactly how well she could have done. She did have some fun to read fights and ended up with a 1231-841-74 record. If nothing else, it is possible to run a small glad with a decent career.

As a young boy, HipsterD dreamt of being a gladiator. Angered by his fathers unwillingness to sell him off as a slave, he ran away and joined the circus...wrong circus. After enduring endless face painting, he decided that pies had no damage inflicting properties at all, so he shanghaied the bearded lady and started a stable of his own.

I have 2 small glads Don Flamingo and Grey Matter, they do pretty darn good tho i'm too lazy to look up the stats, both of their sizes are in the mid 50's, with w/l around 62%-65%. Really low health is there only weakness. for the life of me i cant figure out how to get their health up. But all in all i have to agree that small guys can be pretty successful... at least until you hit the top 50 of Primus.

I thought 1781 hit points was plenty really, and that was just from making sure i got stamina on most pieces of gear and using the 1 achievement +250 hit points which i am guessing a lot of people use on their glads. I should have changed her to a Trug, she still would have had 80+ endurance with the stamina she had and that would have put her over 2k hit points easy.

But ya they can be very effective Landiss was a top 10 primus glad, she retired at spot 6 and had been as high as 3rd.

I had a size 48 theatric, i retired him 07-17-2011, that was before defense bonus for small gladiators, and before races. His main issue was the lack of hp, and lack of carry capcity. In the end that was my reason to retire him.
It was a small discussion in this thread at that time, bear in mind that this is old http://forum.pitofwar.com/showthread...all-is-useless.

So with races and small glads having a defensive bonus, would you try a small glad again Oedi?

Say this pop'ed up for a hall of legends glad: str 90 int 85, agil 100, stam 85, size 40, pres 85, chi 70 (that has a total stat points of 555, i have already bought some hol slaves that are well over 560 total stat points so that's totally reasonable) would you jump on it or pass it up?

Im certain I would run this. I like the extremes, and this roll got a 100, ive never seen that before. Leather armor works reasonably well for any kind of gladiator, and the lack of hp could be balanced with the trug race. But im tempted to say spite, with exotic. Then go for an evasive, bleed your opponet strat.

When i was using trophies to look threw HOL slaves when i retired some of the BA Gold team i saw 100 int twice, so it can happen

And ya i'd run that guy too, i think he would be a blast. I am beginning to believe though that HOL slaves are just a normal slave with a % increase to each stat, cause i never saw a small HOL Slave, smallest i saw was upper 60's, never saw any 40's or 50's, maybe you guys have though.

IF, and that's a really big IF smak ever gets to 55% I am going to take my time on his HOL replacement and see if i can find a small warrior like that, i'd love to run that glad.
