Knowing how to move and fight in Light or Medium Armour reduces the penalty to your gladiator's Initiative for wearing it and also teaches them how to actively use it defensively to deflect and absorb incoming attacks.
Blood Bath

As a master of the Slayer specialty, your gladiator has learned how to bend the rules of its specialty and spent countless hours practicing fighting in heavy armour. Slower than their brothers and sisters but able to withstand a lot more punishment.
So...does anyone know if Juggernaut Slayers can actually wear heavy armor? Or is the skill just medium armor with some defensive boosts? Personally, I've never seen any Slayer in heavy armor, so I'm guessing its the latter.

Yes the juggernaut skill makes slayers able to wear heavy armor.
I wonder how effective it might be then. Like Armoured Movement at lvl 10 or it is just like the starting ability of wars to wear heavy armor (standard penalties at lvl 10 and more severe ones before that.)
I'm wondering does slayer's armour movement effect if wearing heavy armour? Description mentions only light and medium armour.
