Sometimes punching with a 2H weapon?

Not sure if it is a bug or intended:

HORROR's muscles flex under the awesome power of his BLOODY BATTLE FLAIL's attack.
A magnificent wound is opened on THE DUNDER's head! (+53 Damage)
• Attack Power: -10 (4 rounds)

THE DUNDER takes a step back to catch a quick breather.
THE DUNDER appears very concerned with his physical state!!!
THE DUNDER tries to attack from the ground.
THE DUNDER decides to attack with the other hand.
THE DUNDER attacks HORROR and seeks to injure his opponent.
With what appears to be a parry of some sort, HORROR thwarts THE DUNDER's attack.
HORROR races like wild fire around his adversary.
HORROR whips around with his off hand.
HORROR throws an uncertain punch toward his opponent.
Light strike to the abdomen does little. (+5 Damage)

Hi Arkham and welcome!

This isn't a bug, think if it like this: The two gladiators are engaged in combat and get in close with each other and Horror doesn't have the room to take a full swing so he instead throws a punch or an elbow to make some room and do some damage.
