Tier 2 is a little harder, and you face more specialised gladiators. depending on your build, you may cruise past, or struggle with certain opponents. Credit goes to Riggen for collecting all this data post update.

Grawk Headripper

Specialty: Rage
Race: Trug
HP: 904
Endurance: 61

76 Strength
63 Intellect
63 Agility
101 Stamina
85 Size
79 Presence
67 Chi

Gear:
He wields a green Two-Handed axe and wears a green Helm, green Weapon Arm, green Front leg, blue Chest, white Shield Arm and white Back Leg, all of his armor is, of course, light.

Fighting Style:
Probably set to Kill Shot, as he's really, REALLY slow.

Beating him:
Beating this guy is no hard feat, mostly anyone should be able to. For best results, target back leg or shield arm. Skills like Create Distance, Gratuitous Violence help. Being a fast attacker helps even more :P His low endurance makes exhausting him an option too.

Narcissus

Specialty: Theatrics
Race: Human
HP: 814
Endurance: 96

75 Strength
80 Intellect
76 Agility
96 Stamina
90 Size
85 Presence
66 Chi

Gear:
This guys wields a single, One-Handed blue quality axe, wears an Medium Armor Helm, Light Armor on his arms, chest and front legs (back leg is white armour)

Fighting Style:
He's a very defensive gladiator, probably set to parry or counter-attack. He uses Signature Move, Hamstring, Feint and Strength of the Crowd.

Beating him:
Very similar to nightmare, just a lot worse. For best results, target his back leg, since it has the lowest armor. Trains in Brute Force and Feint help get past his defences. Gratuitous Violence would help here too. Rage is going to have a tough time though.

Slavagus

Specialty: War
Race: Human
HP: 845
Endurance: 95

89 Strength
52 Intellect
72 Agility
95 Stamina
90 Size
67 Presence
85 Chi

Gear:
He wields a green bastard sword and a blue kite shield. He wears a white heavy armor helm, green light armor hands, blue light armor chest, green heavy armor legs.

Fighting Style:
This guy is likely set to Parry, he's very defensive. He spams Create Distance, he also uses Feint.

Beating Him:
Rage glads have it easy here, and theatrics can get there with Gratuitous Violence. Other war gladiators can smack him around, to put it simply, his light armor isn't very impressive. For everyone, simply target his arms or torso.

Ragnar Three Hits

Specialty: Rage
Race: Human
HP: 898
Endurance: 102

95 Strength
54 Intellect
67 Agility
102 Stamina
91 Size
70 Presence
70 Chi

Gear:
He wields an epic two-handed axe. He wears a blue head, green weapon arm, white shield arm, green chest, green front leg and white back leg. All of his armour is light.

Fighting Style:
Very slow and probably set to killshot.

Beating him:
Just swing away like crazy and hope he drops before he lands a bomb. Gratuitous Violence helps a lot. Target his back leg or shield arm and smack him around!

Tiny Avenger

Specialty: War
Race: Spite
HP: 936
Endurance: 102

75 Strength
70 Intellect
96 Agility
102 Stamina
98 Size
54 Presence
60 Chi

Gear:
He wields an epic 2 handed greatsword. He wears a blue medium armour helmet, white medium armour weapon arm, blue light armour chest, white light armour shield arm, green light armour front leg and white light armour back leg.

Fighting Style:
Seems to be on a parry based strategy, however his attack rate is decent and he uses feint. his damage isnt great though.

Beating him:
Easy fight, go for the back leg or shield arm and smack away.

The Beast

Specialty: Rage
Race: Urk
HP: 927
Endurance: 113

86 Strength
63 Intellect
64 Agility
98 Stamina
90 Size
59 Presence
75 Chi

Gear:
He wields a green battle axe and a green francisca. He wears a blue helm, green chest, green arms and green legs. All of his armour is light.

Fighting Style:
This guy hits pretty slow and pretty weak.

Beating Him:
Just swing away. He shouldnt pose much trouble

Thorgrin The Wall

Specialty: War
Race: Dunder
HP: 962
Endurance: 96

82 Strength
72 Intellect
59 Agility
96 Stamina
95 Size
91 Presence
65 Chi

Gear:
He wields a blue one handed flail and a blue tower shield. He wears a green helm, blue chest, green weapon arm, white shield arm, green front leg and white back leg. All of his armour is heavy.

Fighting Style:
I believe he is strictly set to tank, however, his tanking is very very effective.

Beating Him:
He is very defensive, so the best way to beat him down will be either to lower your activity settings by a lot and hope to get through his defense with something like Killshot or Gratuitous Violence, or to try and outlast him by stacking stamina and going defensive as well. If you're a high enough level, Annihilate will help Ragers.

Body Snatcher

Specialty: Rage
Race: Human
HP: 1007
Endurance: 99

88 Strength
96 Intellect
62 Agility
99 Stamina
96 Size
90 Presence
75 Chi

Gear:
This guy wields a blue 2h maul and wears blue head, arms and chest, green front leg and white back leg. All of them are light armour.

Fighting Style:
He's slow as heck, but deals decent damage, meaning he is probably set to killshot or low activity bash. He uses Sunder Armour.

Beating Him:
Target his back leg, smack away and enjoy the free trophy. Not a hard fight at all.

Captain Jack

Specialty: Theatrics
Race: Human
HP: 1021
Endurance: 99

79 Strength
74 Intellect
95 Agility
99 Stamina
95 Size
76 Presence
73 Chi

Gear:
He wields a blue Falchion in his main hand and a blue Kriss in his offhand. Wears a green helm, green weapon arm, green front leg, white back leg, white shield-arm and epic chest. All of his armor is light.

Fighting Style:
He's a very fast attacker, he uses Signature Move and Strength of the Crowd.

Beating Him:
For best results, target his back leg or shield arm and simply overpower him. His damage is rather wimpy. Nonetheless, his fast strikes and high defensive power may surprise some. To counter this having one of Brute Force, Create Distance or Hamstring will help your gladiator out.

Byrd of Prey

Specialty: Rage
Race: Human
HP: 993
Endurance: 97

77 Strength
61 Intellect
110 Agility
97 Stamina
85 Size
65 Presence
89 Chi

Gear:
He dual-wields a pair of blue Daggers, wears a blue Helm, arms and legs, and an epic Chest. All Light Armor of course.

Fighting Style:
He's unbelievably fast, most likely berserking and hits rather hard, even though he wields daggers. He uses Rampage and Feint. He also appears to be hard to hit, thus, might have high defensive power.

Beating Him:
Speed or power rage builds have a chance to outswing him or atleast out damage him per hit as the daggers do little damage each swing. 2H rage will need to get a good rampage hit in to stand a chance. Warriors might be able to go defensive on him, and theatrics can counter-attack or such. Create Distance and hamstring will do wonders against him. Just make sure to target something other than his torso.

Got any information on how 'The Beast' fights? He usually defeats me in 35-55 seconds with 2/3 of his health remaining.

Apoca1ypse
02-26-2012, 09:57 PM
I cannot remember his setup. he's a DW power rage yeah?

also what sort of gladiator do you have?

Keledan
02-28-2012, 12:08 AM
I have a 2H offensive war gladiator, im now 6 levels higher than him and I get pasted daily in under a minute

BlkTmplr
02-28-2012, 12:22 AM
Hmm, I run a full offensive stable (mainly because I can't manage a defensive glad lol) and none of my glads had -too- much difficulty, he did hold them back for a few days each but if I remember correctly he wasn't too quick so I beat him with speed... With a 2H War it might take longer but just look for that lucky first round stun or knockdown.

Apoca1ypse
02-28-2012, 03:55 AM
defensing 2H war is going to struggle againt him as it's part of the scissor/paper/rock nature of the game

what skills do you have trained, and what strategies are you using?

Apoca1ypse
02-28-2012, 04:25 AM
just did a bunch of fights and am up to him now. DW power rage is tough for 2H war, especially early on against a foe with Sunder Armor plus Last Stand. your best bet is to have a good Create Distance, and maybe try experimenting with Parry-X (probably bash) but I'm not sure how well that is going to help you with that build. Crow may know.

Updated btw.

My Skills (War tree):
2Handed Weapon Skill X10
Create Distance Skill X10
Feint Skill X3
I wear full Heavy Armour, and I have around 54000 health, with a decent green 2H mace. I use a normal strategy of aiming for his weapon arm, and defending my torso with around 4 bloodlust and 4 activity. Im level 27 now, and each day he regularly deals me a serious wound, if he fails to kill me outright in under 30 seconds, usually my character has failed to achieve more than 2 hits (scoring around 225 in total).

BlkTmplr
02-28-2012, 08:07 AM
Increase you activity and try to land more hits that way.
Barreling Strike is a good skill for an offensive War and could also help.

There is also the possibility that he is set to defend his weapon arm so that might effect your attacks as well.

Apoca1ypse
02-28-2012, 03:21 PM
I like your skill selection :) kudos for going WS and CD to lvl 10 straight away :)

increase activity to 5 or 6 and aim for his torso/back arm. head may also be an option to get a lucky stun.

Apoca1ypse

just beat a few more of them so i've updated with what I know

yay completed the list :3

also proud that Skarbrand finished it at level 22. would have been sooner if Body Snatcher hadnt been a constant ball breaker.

Awesome guide !
By the way, are the items you get as a reward for completing an arena challenge leveled ? I mean, if you complete an arena challenge at the level 50, will you get a better item compared to the case in which you would have completed it at the level 30 for instance ? And can you get purple items as rewards ?

BlkTmplr
03-04-2012, 06:38 AM
Yes, if you complete a Challenge at lvl 50 the items will be lvl 50 or 49 requirements. It's based off your current lvl.
Also yes you can get purple items although it is rare the same with elsewhere.

There is one bonus though, I've noticed that the final gladiators in each lvl of Arena always seem to drop blues. Not sure if that's just me though.

Apoca1ypse
03-05-2012, 04:27 AM
They are leveled items.

rule of thumb, greens are the reward, and blues for the boss.

iirc tier 5 gives blues for the underlings and a purple for beating the boss (Apocalypse)

crow
03-05-2012, 05:32 AM
Actually each arena challenge glad has a max level item it will drop for a win. Minotaur only drops a level 8 items, then every challenge after that increases by one or 2 levels. I found this out with my presidents stable, as I started doing challenges when my guys reached level 37. Fun part was killing the entire tier 1&2 glads on the first try!!

Apoca1ypse
03-05-2012, 12:15 PM
oh ok, cheers for clarifying :) I was too impatient to hold out on challenging so they always seemed leveled :P

Caramon (of Bloodied Honor) is still stuck fast on Tiny Avenger at level 35, this guy just feels impossible to beat, all my attacks miss regardless of the many fight strategies I use and the equipment I buy, I'm quite exasperated by this point because I should be crushing this guy beneath my heel, but his purple weapon is just pasting me, can anybody help me please?

Dainoji
06-28-2012, 01:58 AM
What bracket and rank is Caramon and I'll take a look at your build. What strategies are you using? Tiny Avenger is a Spite so he gets a defensive boost, so you'll have to work to get through that, perhaps activating some attack power achievements or boosting your weapon skill if it isn't already 10. Getting your strats to where you are optimizing for accuracy to get through his defenses. There are a lot of things you could do but as I said I'll need to first look at your build and see what you are doing for strategies.

Let's see some info on Captain Jack, shall we, gentlemen? (Note: I will put the other up as I reach them with my lower level glads)

Stats:

Human Theatrics Gladiator

79 Strength
74 Intellect
95 Agility
99 Stamina
95 Size
76 Presence
73 Chi

He's level 23, has 1021 Health and 99 Endurance

Gear:
He wields a blue Falchion in his main hand and a blue Kriss in his offhand. Wears a green helm, green weapon arm, green front leg, white back leg, white shield-arm and epic chest. All of his armor is light.

Fighting Style:
He's a very fast attacker, he uses Signature Move: Disarm and Strength of the Crowd. He may be set to counter-striking or has high defensive power, since he was taking very low damage from my gladiator.

Beating him:
For best results, target his back leg or shield arm and simply overpower him. His damage is rather wimpy, I've had little issue beating him with a Two-Handed Rage glad, so I believe other fighters might find him to be even easier. Nonetheless, his fast strikes and high defensive power may surprise some, to counter this, Brute Force will definitely help rage glads and Create Distance will be great for war glads, as well as Hamstring.

Edit: Updated with the new changes. Not much has changed, the only real difference I've noticed is that he deals even less damage now o.o

As for tier two, here's some info about Byrd of Prey :)

Stats:

Human Rage Gladiator

77 Strength
61 Intellect
110 Agility
97 Stamina
85 Size
65 Presence
89 Chi

He's level 24 and has 993 Health and 97 Endurance.

Gear:
He dual-wields a pair of blue Daggers, wears a blue Helm, blue arms, blue legs and an epic Chest, all Light Armor ofc.

Fighting Style:
He's unbelievably fast, most likely berserking and hits rather hard, even though he wields daggers. He uses Rampage and Feint. He also appears to be hard to hit, thus, might have high defensive power.

Beating him:
As of now, I really don't know how a Two-Hand Rage glad could beat him. I think speed or power rage builds have a chance to outswing him, warriors might be able to go defensive on him, and theatrics could counter-attack or such. Create Distance likely does wonders against him.

Edit: Updated with the new changes. Not as hard to hit anymore, otherwise basically the same

Stats:

Beating this guy is no hard feat, mostly anyone should be able to. For best results, target back leg or shield arm. Skills like Create Distance, Gratuitous Violence help. Being a fast attacker helps even more :P

Happy end of the world everybody :D ! Today I'll be blabbering about Narcissus!

Stats:

Human Theatrics Gladiator

75 Strength
80 Intellect
76 Agility
96 Stamina
90 Size
85 Presence
66 Chi

He's level 16 and has 814 Health and 96 Endurance.

Gear:
This guys wields a single, One-Handed blue quality axe, wears an epic Medium Armor Helm, blue Light Armor Weapon Arm, green Light Armor Chest, green Light Armor front leg and shield arm and a white Light Armor back leg.

Fighting Style:
He's a very defensive gladiator (my berserking power rage died without landing a single hit on him), likely set to parry or counter-attack. He uses Signature Move, Hamstring, Feint and Strength of the Crowd.

Beating him:
I like to call this guy "Nightmare 2.0". Very similar to nightmare, just a lot worse. For best results, target his back leg, since it has the lowest armor and rack up your attack power and Brute Force, Feint to get past his defences, I'm pretty certain Gratuitous Violence and Signature Move: Stun would help in here. This guy really makes my power rage...well....rage. No matter what achievements or tactics i try he just stomps me without getting hit a single time!

Edit: Updated with the new changes, he seems even harder now.

Stats:

Gear:
He wields a green battle axe and a green francisca. He wears a blue helm, green chest, green arms and green legs. All of his armour is light.

Fighting Style:
This guy hits pretty slow and pretty weak. All I know at the moment.

Beating Him:
Compared to the old Beast, this guy is a complete utter wimp, he failed to score hits over 30 on another rage, while before the update he'd be on 500+
(no he was not disarmed). Atm I don't think anyone should encounter difficulties fighting him.

Fighting Style:
I asume he's still set to Killshot, as he was before the update, but, I noticed him being a LOT slower this time around. Actually, he didn't get to even attempt to attack even once in 29 secs against a claws-equipped theatrics.

Beating him:
Fast weapons, fast weapons everywhere. Gratuitous Violence helps a lot. Target his back leg or shield arm and smack him around!
