Shield & Master of Arms

I was thinking to max shields after maxing Weapon Skill for my Theatric, but decided against it because i want to go for trident + Net.
If i ever get my Hands on a net that is^^ Seems to be available only in the later Lvls i guess. My Glad is Lvl 15 now.

But what came to my Mind is the following:

If i max Shields i get Shields at 10 and not more.

If i max MoA i get Shield at 10 + every other weapon for the same Skillpoints .
Means ig et an advantage if i drop my weapon and pick up lets say a rusty Dagger or else. And it opens more Variation in Main/Off-Hand

So why would i ever max Shields?
And when will i get a Net? Cant wait^^

With War, Master of Arms is always better than picking just the Shield skill. With Theatrics you have to go down the War tree just for that - which is not necessarily a bad thing but you might want to spend these 10 points which will go for Grim Determination or Iron Jaw somewhere else.
