Hi Nate.

I request to check a part of game which is related to the hit mechanic.

The reasons:

1.
Activity level and Bloodlust level doesn't affect on the Endurance consumption at all.
It's easy to confirm for any player by running the Gauntlet at possible difficulty.
Bash 10/10 and Bash 1/1 consumes same 1-2 point of Endurance at the start.
Same about Parry-Something. I've not checked other styles yet. But two of "main" is enought, in my opinion.

It's not true for PvP's sometimes. Depending on strategies, depending on the opponents (!) and, perhaps, depending on something else.

2.
Gladiator may get some Endurance "damage" from an "external" source and sometimes it defies by reasonable explanation (Like ability to damage endurance while hitting):

Where is endurance loss? But Ok. Then Sugre doing nothing more. Then ... result:

I.e. 9 endurance loss.
// Btw, Eirikr uses Parry-Bash 10/8 here, successfully paying 1 Endurance per hit, as You may see.

PvP versions:

Btw, i don't think it's normal to lose even 3.5 endurance per hit ( delivered with "middle" weapon) and at "low" gladiator level (~35):

Generally, it seems, a gladiator may receive endurance damage according with his weapon/strategy. Instead of the endurance payment according with his strategy. // But it's only an assumption.

Ah, yes, please check also attacks number calculation related to Activity level.

Some thoughts About situation shown in the last screenshot.

I think, while Endurance defined as a some sort of energy, it's impossible to do 3 endurance damage, losing 2 endurance. It's Perpetuum Mobile, yes.
You may say "It's unreal world, its own rules." etc. And You will be right. And Endurance is not quite energy (It's more correct to say that gladiators energy is some combination of all his stats.)
But in fact, trying to implement things like it, You already was forced to compensate it with different (sometimes strange) ways.
Examples:
-- Tank stance designed as an endurance-eating strategy (with zero endurance consumption). And You was forced to compensate it by crowd damage -- the damage from nowhere. (Yes, a rotten egg thrown by girl in the third row penetrates armor better than a two-handed axe. But Ok.)
-- You can't lower Spectral Touch cooldown to 1 or 2 keeping its endurance damage. (To be more correct: You can do it, but consequences are obvious). In this case the endurance payment for this skill is a part of the sum of endurance spent by 6 (or 5?) cooldown rounds.

Sad, but You constructed the game of two strategies: Initiative and Tank. // It's not about BG, but BG is just small part of players. And BG have own ... features.
If You like it, then all right.
But if not: last screenshot demonstrates how one gladiator harms the Endurance of another, already having initiative victory.
You know what it mean.

Regards.
