Retire?

I have a glad:

Level: 25
Record: 111-22-8
Bracket: Elite

Who suddenly has a 'retire' link next to his name.

I had read around and thought I had to make it to primus before I could retire a glad to get a premium slave.

so.. I just want to double check... can I retire this guy and get a better slave? Or do I have to wait until he gets to primus first?

Nevermind, i was being a wuss. I clicked the link and saw the details behind it. I was just worried that clicking it would automatically retire my glad. Still have some work to do before retiring is an option. :)
