Conquest difficulty

When I was level 8 with crappy armor I would get some level 10 random allies and complete the Underbelly with no problems on Normal.
Now I am level 14 with better armor, I get level 17-18 allies but I keep getting killed by the final boss.

Do you get some kind of boost when you're low level? Or does the dungeon scale with your level? It seems counterintuitive since there already is a setting for the difficulty of the dungeon.

Any tips on completing it with random allies?

Yeap, it's scaling with your level. Just have to remember strong glads for your allies.
