Please join me in congratulating Argh Pirate from Stable Sotc for winning the Blood Gods Season 9 Tournament!

It was a very close race all season with the mighty Ahhnold hanging onto a 3rd place finish right behind Arghpirate. Arrrrrpirate and Arrrrr Pirate grabbed 4th and 5th respectively and our most decorated champion Arrrrrghpirate didn't make it into the top 3 but finished 6th. Hubba Gubba battled his way to an impressive 7th place finish with new comer Seraph Madigant hot on his heels in 8th. Belca Noctircus managed to grab the 9th spot and Bruce Iee squeezed into the 10th spot to round out the top 10!

Arena officials were overheard saying something about how variations on the same name confused the crowd and wondered if that was the secret to Sotc's success. Some even speculate that Stable Sotc really only has one gladiator and the use of fancy make-up and different armour and weapon configurations gives the illusion of a five... :)

Good luck in the Pit!

Seriously...

Props to SOTC - not only the best resourced stable in the game, but one of the best strategically managed as well.

Im proud of you Belca, you nabbed 9th place without challenging gladiators yourself for 3 full weeks! :p

Thanks all. Kudos to Ahhnold, I feel he should have placed higher if not for the unevenly sized fight queues. Hopefully Nate's fix to the fight queues should resolve that issue.

Looking at average points earned per fight, Ahhnold would still have been 2nd to Argh (7.74 vs 7.80 respectively).

With equal ques AND extra fight tokens been awarded for the 20 kills Ahhnold got after the change to kill rewards, Ahhnold would have won by 103 points. This doesnt take into account how the rating points scale as you get higher in the points though.

In saying all that, things panned out the way they did, opposed to magical hypothetical math land. It was still a great win for Argh. Improving his w/l from 79% to 82.2% in a 4 weeks is a bloody good effort. I did the opposite with Ahhnold, which kinda sucked :P
