Any one else getting a ton of ad's opening new tabs when on the forums today? Like 2 new tab's every time i open a forum (only on this site too).

That happened to me yesterday or so...but not today

they are driving me completely nuts, every refresh and every post i get 1-3 new tabs that take focus from this tab for some bullshit "you need updated drivers" or "you need an updated video player" in an attempt to install malware.

I am unable to reproduce this and nothing has changed on the forums in a very long time. It is possible the company serving the ads has been compromised, it is also possible your machine has been compromised elsewhere, however, if others are seeing the same thing than it is likely the former.

Anyone else experiencing the above behavior? If so please let me know your OS and browser configuration. In the meantime I'll email the company that handles the ads.

All I get is the regular banner top and bottom, and the occasional inset ad at the end of random posts.

One other note on this Nate, the ads are normally "game" related but while this was going on they where not, they where for all kinda weird sites but none of the normal game type sites.

Spoke with the ad company and there was an error on their end. This should not happen anymore.
