Challenges/Avoids

I don't know if this is my imagination or coincidence, but I have noticed when I avoid someone without issuing a challenge to someone else, I seem to often randomly match with the avoidee. Considering the sheer amount of people I could match up with it seems to happen far more often than it should.

Has anyone else noticed something similar or am I just (more) crazy?

I don't think your any more nutty then I, same thing happens when I have done avoids without making a challenge.
