buying trophies

i went to buy some trophies today and all of a sudden it asked me for the last four digits of my social security number, is this normal? it didn't ask for that before so now im nervous about buying trophies

It doesn't happen when I do, but I use a paypal account.

What payment method did you tried to use ?

i dont have a paypal account, but i was using just a stragiht up debit card as a guest

now its not asking me for my social, but it keeps on saying this message:

The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit or debit card number.

I've used this card in the past to buy them, and I called my bank and there are no holds, so I don't understand what the problem is.

Will someone explain paypal to me
