I had a full heavy wearing tank that only costed 961 gold. He was decent I guess. He's retired now though :P

i think mid game till lag game you'll have skills to aid in getting full heavy armour gear.

frankly if we use the great items in armoury, the difference in armour is too little for you to consider full heavy since they wear alot more. thus tiring your glad in fights in early game.

What about making it medium+light until lvl50 and full heavy afterwards ? think it will be orange or red encumbered or something with 1-2 activity

frankly i rather you encumber at 40% and below?

its like asking a heavy tank glad to move alot. even if he doesnt move alot, he is a sitting duck against rage. LOL

the glad I speak of was at 50%+ encumbrance but was managing fine with something like parry-slash 8/8

100 is the highest stat a new slave can have, after that you can pump them up by training, achievements and equipment it has nothing to do with it being a regular slave or a HoL slave.

Yes, it is possible to make just about any kind of gladiator you want, and I'm not really sure what you mean by free market, none of the slaves are free they all have a gold cost associated with them. If you are talking about spending trophies to see new slaves all that is doing is showing you more slaves in less time than if you just check each day. The slaves don't get better with the more trophies you spend, you just see more. If you are patient you'll eventually see a nice one, if you aren't patient then cycle.

Technically speaking Belca comes from the free market seeing as the only paid option that the slave market has is paying a trophy to view a new batch of slaves and as Dainoji pointed out the slaves don't get better the more trophies you pour into it. It isn't like the Premium slave market is unavailable for normal players either, aslong as you run a decent glad (or in my opinion any DW rage) you can retire your glad and get access to it.

Under a 40% encumbrance should be possible with normal slaves aslong as he/she has a decent size and strength. I've seen normal slaves with 75 strength and 90 size in the normal slave market which should be more than enough to cover for the encumbrance rating. Belca has 160 Strength and 135 Size btw, he's what happens when you get a 100 size war and pump size achievements and gear with size stats on it (still planning on getting him to 25% encumbrance :p)

With free market I mean nonpremium :) what about a nonpremium without the size training ? wasting trophies on a nonpremium slave looks waste to me lets say 82 size ? I saw litlle much higher size then that but the other stats will be uber low, I geuess will be encumb 50-60% for the rest of his life ? and will be sitting duck for other glads like nova said :(

67-73-62-75-81-66-66 is a slave im looking at right now. It's got a cost of 970 gold.
For a DW war with full heavy armour and Strength based gear you could get about 60 strength from the 8 purple pieces together probably 75 if you look for Strength specific ones but I wouldn;t recommend that since the ones that add up to about 60 have the best stat distribution in terms of STR,AGI,STA,CHI (these for are the stats I look for the most when gearing my wars)

This gives you a total of rounded upwards 130 strength and 81 size, count in the olympian achievement that you get for completing all attribute trains and let's toss in an undisputed title (though you will likely want the +250 health one) and you get 130 Strength and 96 size.

Each +10 size in Belca's case amounts to a decrease in encumbrance of 2-3% so 135-96 = 39
39/4 = 9.75 but since it's 2-3% let's go with 9%.
Each 10 strength on him is 1%, with the difference of 30ish strength the encumbrance rating from this difference is 3%
29+9+3= 41%

That's slightly over the 40% encumbrance rating, a glad that was picked specifically for the purpose of being at 40% or below would be possible with purple gear and 2 gold achievements.
Now let's not forget that if you really try you can get atleast 3-4 undisputed titles from Warlods, Blood Lords, Maximus and Primus (My 2H rage Flonne has 6 undisputed titles)
Now let's take 3 undisputed titles, the olympian achievement, +10 strength from getting your strength attribute maxed and 250 health.
That's 25 size and 10 strength. This brings your glad at 140 Strength and 106 Size which amounts to 3-4% less encumbrance.
41-4= 37%. There ya have it, it's below 40%! :D

Now i've worked all day, it's evening here and im slightly tired so these calculations could be messed up somewhere up there so don't blame me if I got something wrong and do the math yourself :p
