More like having to click 6 times x 2 because you aren't allowed to click 7 days at once :p
It's probably there because stables could buy a year or more if they wanted to ahead of time with the gold achievements on lvl 1 glads making the cost to do it severely reduced.
Getting it unlocked to unlimited buys at lets say lvl 50 would be nice...:D

The thing is - u can only buy 7 days - that means it has be basically on zero before you can even use the buy 7 button. I prefer to not wait until zero and get clobbered - and I don't like clicking "add one" six times.

I suggest 14 days at a minimum - 21 to 30 days is what I would recommend.

In future updates there may be designs that affect how achievement slots work, however there are no plans for any changes in the upcoming update.
