View Full Version : Calling All Citizens of The Great Realm! We Need Names!
The Great Realm needs you! Yes you!
The Great Realm's conquests are going to be in need of a lot of bad guys and bad guys need names! I've always tried my best to include the players in the development of Pit of War, so if you are so inclined why don't you add your collective creativity and start a list of names we can use for mini-boses, bosses, special named baddies and so on. As far as guidelines go just do your best to keep it in the theme of the game and let's do our best to keep "questionable names" to ourselves. If you have to ask yourself if the name is questionable it probably is. ;)
Feel free to have first and last names, or just a single name, or names with a moniker of some sort (i.e. Korloc the Undying").
Good luck in the Pit!

Laharl the Daemon Overlord! (yes im still waiting tor that title Nate and im not giving up :p)
Needles to say this has to be a Daemon DW blades war :p
Borrowing glads from the Hall Of Legends for some dungeons might actually not be that bad of an idea :p
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classification_of_demons
There should be some nice glad names among those that you might even have considered already ;)

Dropping random names won't be a problem but it will be easier and (I guess) more efficient if you give us brief descriptions of the... things that should be named.

No descriptions required as we'll be naming all kinds of NPCs. Come up with an idea of a NPC in your head and give 'em a name! Include the description of the NPC as well if you'd like. This is your chance to be creative with the Great Realm's inhabitants.
I agree with Prinny, use some of the legends of the game as a few mini bosses.
Merek
Terrin
Xalvador
Those are just a few off the top of my head

So we can also provide short bios?
One more question - are we naming unique creatures (like the Arena Challenges gladiators) or generic ones, like in the Tavern quests?
So we can also provide short bios?
Sure, if you would like to and if I can use it I will.
One more question - are we naming unique creatures (like the Arena Challenges gladiators) or generic ones, like in the Tavern quests?
Unique NPCs for the most part. For those names that are used they will be assigned to mini-bosses, bosses, unique named NPCs, etc.
Hall of Legends gladiators are legendary gladiators, not baddies waiting to gank your ass in some dark smelly crypt! We'll see if HoL gladiators can one day be put to use. :)

Hey they don't have to be some smelly crypt! For all we know Eruption and Ormgar are having a drinking contest while Belgarad is flirting with Tygros Rex's girl and all 4 of them start a brawl!
Now good luck taking those 4 (+some random tavern fodder) out! XD

Blixx the Bleeder
Sniveler Theatrics
A mercenary in the employ of one of the Cult of Savroc that persistently dogs the character, interfering with their plans (often behind the scene of creating obstacles), etc. Very crafty, and manipulative, but somewhat craven in direct confrontation. Quite adept at escape and evasion, but in the event of capture usually has valuable information to persuade his release. An alcoholic, and best described as "the turd that just won't flush", he is a survivor.
Magistrate Vidal
Human
A devious city official being used by the Cult of Savroc. He and Blixx have been spotted together occasionally. Initially Blixx is thought to be in his employ, but Blixx is the link between the Cult. He is arrogant, wealthy, and influential, often bribing other city officials, and works the legal and political systems for his own selfish gains.
Krug the Thug
Trug War/rage
A hired thug employed by Vidal. Big, stupid, and crude he is nevertheless a formidable opponent (and quite focused when given simple tasks). He is often used to carry out Vidal’s plots so that Vidal can avoid dirtying his hands.
Baron Accius
Elaar
The third son of a minor noble family, he grew discontent with his low station and runs an underground crime ring. He tends to be defensive, paranoid, and overestimates his capabilities. He is on the take from Vidal believing himself to be an equal partner but is nothing more than a pawn.
The Cult of Sav’roc
Human Rage/Priests
A cult devoted to the resurrection of their dark lord. Headed by Prelate Sekk, other members include Disciples Kronin and Radec, and Visor Voric – a deranged, decrepit, and raving cultist who has prophetic visions. Both Kronin and Radec have doubts about Sekk’s devotion and plan to sacrifice him during the resurrection to appease their lord. Blixx intends to make a tidy profit off all of this.
Perhaps HoL glads may appear as tavern fights? Would make for some epic fights (drunken tavern brawls) to break up the tedium that is doing tavern quests.

Drunken tavern battle royal with 4 HOL glads! :D
This option uses up all 20 tavern fights but your glad has a guaranteed chance of getting a blue/purple upon winning :P
That would be a fun options for glads with Olympian done :P

Taaga the.... errr...
Taaga is a brute, not too bright, why, he don't even remember his last....hmm, is that name or moniker? whot? stop asking question or he'll smash your face in with his massive fists, SMASH YO FACE IN WITH HIS FISTS!!! So, errr, is he so dumb he can't even use a weapon except his hands? *KA-POW*
The Face-Smasha
Nobody know's his name, and he doesn't talk, because he can't, had his tongue cut out when he was a slave, and he obviously can't write, so he goes by what he does as his name, which is smashing faces with a huge hammer. He is REALLY good with a hammer, and especially good at smashing it into someone's face, it takes strength and skill to be able to swing a huge ass hammer into people's faces consistently, really, it's a marvel to watch him at work sometimes.
Gank the Snapper(female)
A Snivler named Gank? geez, how original, does she... *argh* *gurgling sound as the sorry questioner is ganked by Gank*. So why is she called a snapper? well if you ever heard her talk you'd know, conversations with her are like talking to a snapping dog, or piranha, or, well you get the picture, try not to talk to her, conversations with the mute Face-Smasha are much more enjoyable, trust me. By the way, she likes ganking people in the legs to bring people down and then snapping their shins while they are on the ground, yea, that's part of why she's called the snapper too, being short and stealthy helps with that, see? well, ok you probably won't see her coming...
Troolooolooong
Nobody but trugs(or troll) have the time pronounce a name like, screw it, I don't care how many 'o's are in that name! The bastard just have extra long limbs, even for his race, and what's more annoying? he lasts even longer in a fight than most of his kin, I've never seen the bastard go down in a fight, not even once, seriously!
the Belly-tickler
A rather merry name for a wee Spite, you'd think with a name like that he must be a source of joy in any tavern, well, he's not. He does have a name but everyone calles him the Belly-tickler because that's what he does to an opponent after a fight, he takes small slices from your soft tender belly so he's only "tickling" you with cuts, because that creature has a real taste for thin strips of soft belly-meat. What? oh yes, of course, he's a cannibal. He always prefer the still-living fresh belly-cuts too, says the wriggling and the blood-flow really make their stomaches extra tasty, if he considers you a friend, he'll even offer you some choice cuts from some poor screaming wretch's belly? wanna taste? And if he's in a merry mood, he'd even offer a taste to the poor wretch he's "tickling" in the belly...

Simba
Simba is not his real name, it's one of many names he uses and changes, right now, he's Simba. All people know is that he's an Elaar, he's evil, he won't hesistate for a second about double-crossing you if someone offered him coin to do so, and he's one of the best weapons-for-hires there is, specialising in any kind of dirty business you want taken care of. Nothing is too dirty or beyond his means, as long as you got the coin, he'll get your job done. If you need more muscle than a few guys, he has enough connections he can get you an instant army of cut-throats for hire -if you have the coin as well as a healthy commission for him for each extra hire. :) But if you are ever late in payment, watch out, you might just become the next scalp on his belt.
Tsuba
Simba's sister, or, at least, people think she's his sister. That's not her real name either, obviously, just what she's using as a name for now. She's always with Simba, cold, professional, uncaring and dangerous, every bit a reflection of Simba. I hear she's just as good in a fight as Simba, she might be a even better fighter than Simba, nobody has seen her pull out a weapon and remained alive to talk about it. We think she's Simba's sister because they look and dress similarly, sort of, ok, nobody's certain, they might be siblings or cousins, or they might be lovers. Nobody really knows anything with these two, just pay them for the job and let them be on their way. Asking too many personal questions about this pair is highly unprofessional, and potentially fatal for your health.

Jacinta Skarr - *The Scar"
See that tall woman wearing her black hair in a topknot with the ritual scar on her left cheek? That's commander Jacinta of the Black Scars, one of the most feared mercenary companies around, they all mark their faces with a ritual scar on the left cheek when they join up. She used to be just Captain Jacinta, but not three years ago, she challenged the old " Black Scar", her father, for command of the company and won, killing her old man in the duel. She has really made a name for herself and the Black Scars since taking over, the Black Scars are now more than twice its original size, commands one of the highest pays around for a mercenary army, and is well-equipped and disciplined enough to assault a small city by themselves. Men in the Black Scars simply call her "The Scar" as the title for their commander. It's rumoured she tasted blood when she was 7 and killed her first man at 9, and one of the toughest promotions in the Black Scars is getting promoted to Captain - you have to survive against her for 2 minutes and still be alive with no major appendages missing at the end to make the cut, you are not even expected to be able to put up half a fight, that's how tough she is.
Gorrik 'Three-Tooth'
See that big man with the bald head with a drink in one hand and a wench in the other laughing with a mouth-full of gold at the bar? that's Gorrik 'Three-tooth", commander of the Blood Skulls mercenary company. Just don't mentioned the 'Three-tooth' part to his face, or let one of his men hear you saying that, unless you want to end up with only three teeth yourself. He used to be known as Gorrik Skullsmasher, had quite the fearsome reputation as a skull-taker, until Jacinta of the Black Scars came along. The Black Scars and the Blood Skulls were both fighting on the same side in one of the wars in the north, and an argument over loot between the two companies broke out, a scuffle broke out, tempers were high, the two companies were on the edge of spilling blood, so it was decided the matter will be settled by the two commanders in personal combat. The exact details of the fight were not known to outsiders, all we know was that despite having seen more battles and seasons than the young female commander, he was no match for Jacinta and was carried out unconscious in a bloody mess by his men, the doc who fixed him up could only find three of his teeth left. From that day on he became Gorrik 'Three-Tooth'.

Nur'rath Haunter (Unknown race)
A creature of undetermined origin, known to "haunt" places of great bloodshed. It has been encountered - usually with fatal consequences - on old battlefields where huge armies had clashed, in burned cities, in cruel slavers' manors and some claim that they have even seen it in the catacombs below the great Arena. According to most of the descriptions, the creature is not constantly material, can take the form of a mist and uses its physical body only when it attacks its intended prey. Another curious thing about it is that it does not seem to attack random targets but rather people who have the blood of hundreds of victims on their hands. This observation has led to the speculation that "the Haunter" is a special messenger of the Blood Gods, sent to test the skills and resolve of their most devoted followers. There are only two records of Nur'rath Haunters being defeated in battle and in both of them their "slayers" were later attacked again by the same creatures which they had seemingly killed. For who says that the Blood Gods test your skills and resolve only once?
The Red Centurion (Human)
A human whose name was erased after he got captured on the battlefield and enslaved. He would have been killed like all of his comrades but the enemy commander was so impressed by his fighting skills (allegedly displayed by slaying no less than a dozen of soldiers that tried to kill him) that he couldn't miss the opportunity to earn some serious profit on the slave market. For the next ten years the Centurion fought on the Arena and earned so much glory that he eventually got released with the overwhelming approval of the crowd. The first thing he did after he earned his freedom was to find the commander of the unit which captured him and make him one head shorter, after which he escaped from the city. Since then The Red Centurion has been seen in mercenary companies, among the bodyguards of rich men (but never slavers) and some claim that he even returned to the Arena once, although in heavy disguise, to kill his old overseer. People claim that during the last years he has become a loner, wandering the Great Realm and searching for the worthy adversary who will end his life.

The Unworthy - initiates of Nurr'Lac(1st yr acolytes, grade 1 fodder)
The cult of Nurr'Lac
Nobody knows who or what Nurr'Lac is, well, no one outside the secretive bloody cult knows, most just take this entity as one of the many bloody demons/monsters worshipped by depraved followers. They'd have been dismissed as just another crazy cult looking for any reason to sacrifice babies and indulge in depraved acts with beastial monsters in the name of worship, if it weren't for the fact this Nurr'Lac entity seem to be able to bestow real powers to its followers, real bloody powers, and the cult seems to have infiltrated many cities as its insidious powers grew in the shadows. Their temples are always hidden and it is rumoured Nurr'Lac is some ancient demonic monster created by the blood gods themselves, and it can appear in real form at the head Nurr'Lac temple somewhere out in the wild wastes.

This person is similar to a character in "The Wire":
Domar - A bald Dunder male who is the leader of a stick-up crew at the Great Realm capital. He walks casually behind his targets and slowly whistles "I Come From The Land Of Dunder" (which remarkably sounds like "A Land Down Under" by Men at Work). If they hear that tune, it's too late. Then they drop their gold purses and run away. Domar picks up the gold and casually walks back to his hideout. He wears leather armor and keeps a large black maul concealed under his cloak.

Jasc the Younger

Braithe Blackwood
Human War (npc ally)
Living in the Sylvetanti Foothills, this son of a huntsman keeps watch at the outer edges on the activities of the barbarian Urk clans. Alowan Qwaine
Elaar (npc ally)
Merchant, pirate, engineer – what hasn’t he done? Growing bored with a life of nobility, Alowan struck out to find fortune, fame, and adventure living as a free-lancer. He is a well-connected, confident, and smart-mouthed gambler who often gets himself into, and out of, difficult situations.
Kessandria Vex

A young lieutenant and instructor at the Military Academy. She is curious, observant, and analytical with a sunny disposition, but finds it difficult to fit in due to her age and position.
Torrag the Unyeilding

Qu'ash - Weaponmaster of the Red Legion
Qu'ash is a master-of-arms and head trainer of the Red Legion, which is no small feat for someone in charge of the trainning of a vast army like the Red Legion.
Kel'thar - Battlemaster of the Red Legion
If Qu'ash is the head master-of-arms in training the Red Legion, then Kel-thar is the field commander of the Red Legion in battle.
Kraalu - Bastion of the Red Legion
A champion of the Red Legion, calling him a walking fortress might be more appropriate, this is the backbone holding the center of the Red Legion battlelines and the beacon all others rally to when battle lines are broken.
Graak - Headtaker of the Red Legion
The other champion of the Red Legion. If Kraalu is the backbone holding the the Red Legion in formation, then Graak is the massive hammer with which the Red Legion smashes into foes. Graak is the awe-inspiring figure leading every charge, wading knee deep in the bodies of the fallen as he cuts a bloody swathe through the enemy to claim the enemy commander's head.
Sesstha - Master Scout(assassin) of the Red Legion (female)
Every army needs scouts to scope out the enemy to make up their battle plans, being the master scout in the Red Legions means not just checking out the enemy from afar, but also involves a lot more danagerous tasks such as sneaking into the enemy camp to steal intelligence/cause havoc, set up ambushes, and when possible - assassinating the enemy commander before battle is joined. All of these tasks requires the master scout to be just as deadly a combatant as her battlefield counterparts, and she still joins the field in battle too, serving as a battlefield assassin to find and pick off any important enemy hero/commander that escaped the wrath of Graak.

Brother Varkas (Human)
When Brother Varkas made his first sacrifice with a little more zeal than it could be expected from a neonate, his mentor thought that he takes his job seriously. When Brother Varkas killed his mentor, the senior priests of the temple thought that he's too unrestrained and should be taught discipline. And when Brother Varkas killed everyone in the temple, the city guards concluded that he's mad and started a hunt for him. But if you ask Brother Varkas about all these events, he will give you a very well-constructed and logical explanation why you can not really consider yourself a priest of the Blood Gods if you don't shed blood on every occasion. Then he'll probably kill you.
The background of this overly-devoted priest is not very clear but one can say for certain that he's not just a cowardly murderer, stabbing your back or slitting your throat while you sleep. As several bounty hunters have been unfortunate to find out so far, Brother Varkas is more than a decent fighter and while his style may lack some finesse, it certainly has all the brutality that it needs to make the priest a frightening opponent even to seasoned warriors.
Orkosh "Slavebane" (Urk)
Many slaves in the Great Realm would prefer to receive dozens of whiplashes every day for the rest of their life than being in the company of Orkosh for even a moment. Universally known as the most cruel slave-hunter that has ever walked the earth, the stories of his atrocities disgust even slavers who like to torture their "stock" for entertainment. Many traders refuse to deal with him, knowing that his captives (those who make it alive anyway) are likely to be incurably insane after having spent just a few days with him. Certain slave-masters however are willing to pay huge prices for those survivors who haven't been broken body and mind by Orkosh's treatment and then turn them into the finest gladiators on the Arena.
People say that Orkosh was once a slave himself, captured as one of the last survivors of his butchered tribe. Some suspect that he couldn't cope with the humiliation of being captured as some animal and forced to obey people he hates, so he grew to despise that weakness in himself and everyone else. According to the few people who can pretend to know him - usually fellow slave-hunters - his philosophy of life states that if you lose your freedom, you deserve everything.

Mee-thok the Stillknife
Spite Theatrics
A proud warrior of the Nagua Tribe which was sympathetic to Khare in the war with Eastport. Returning home after a scouting mission, he found his village razed and his family murdered by an Easport raiding force. With nowhere to go, he left to join as a warband leader of the Council of the Tentribes. He harbours deep resentment of both Easport for the death of his family and of Khare for bringing the war to his nation. Brash and outspoken, he leads Khare raiding parties against the Easport caravans and will betray the Khare when it suits his purposes. A viscious killer, he often wears the lightest of armour and fights with both axe and knife. The Council, although sympathetic to his lost family is growing cautious of his motives, beleiving them to not be in the best interest of the tribes' survival. Mee-thok would rather the Tribes remain independent and believes that they will become a strong military and tading force in their own right.

Hargus - Slave runner
Slavers are just another line of honest business men trying to make a decent living off the misery of others less fortunate. Since everyone needs slaves, everyone needs slavers. Given the fact most slaves don't become slaves willingly, it goes without saying having the ability to knock another fellow senseless without killing them is a very handy skill for a slaver, it subdues the merchandise without seriously damaging them, much. That's exactly why Hargus is a slaver, and he loves his job.
Pug - Slave guard
Big enough to look imposing with a 2-hand weapon and armor? check. Can stand guard like a door post unmoving for hours on end? check. Don't really care about what or who he is guarding as long as he gets fed or paid, whichever is more important to him at the time? check. Can actually use that big weapon he lugs around effectively if things do get hairy? well, he might be a bit on the slow side, but if he does manage to hit you, well, you don't want to get hit by a big guy like that, even if he is slow.
Igor - Big Slave Tamer
What's the difference between what Igor and Hargus does? well, Hargus is in charge of your regular humanoid slaves, human-elaar-spites etc, Igor is the big game master: Trugs, Ogres, Trolls, or other large dangerous beasts. He used to be a wild hunter hunting big game to sell their exotic hides, until he met Hargus and realised his ability to bring down big beasts can be more lucrative if he applied them to enslaving beast-like trugs and ogres for the needs of the rich and powerful.
Yellow-hoof - rebel leader(runaway slave)
Supposedly this slave was from one of the savage tribes out in the great wilds. Apparently he's much smarter than he looks as well as being extremely dangerous, being a backwards caveman and all. He managed to escape the pens and spring a group of other desperate miserable assortments with him. The slavers who captured him saw the animal inside and was already giving him some basic combat training, in preparation to sell him to the pits of war to become a gladiator, but unfortunately the animal in this one was just too strong and escaped before his cage was sent to the pits. Not only that, he had managed to use some of that combat training to outfit himself and the rest of the group with some weapons and armor in the process of their escape, looted off the corpses of the guards they murdered of course.
Horta One-eye - rebel slave
To everyone one who knew the name of Horta One-eye, they'd speak his name with a healthy gob of spit. Horta was a swindler, cheater, backstabber, double-crosser, and probably likes cutting cute little canaries into pieces just for the fun of it. All of his business adversaries would have been much happier seeing him off dead, but unfortunately killing him would lead to a lot of questions, the best option was to make him go away without turning up as a corpse. So they ambushed him in an alley then sold him off to a passing slave caravan destined for another city so he will never return. Except Horta had the unfortunate, or the fortunate luck of being locked away in the same cage as Yellow-hoof, and managed to escape with the savage together.
Urda - rebel slave (female)
If one didn't mention this was a girl, or checked her extremities, you'd almost be forgiven to think she's a male. Arms and legs thick as treetrunks, with a bushy brows, angular face, heavy chin, barrel waist, gravelly voice, and a sloping gait. She was supposedly a menial servant that refused the advances of her master(yes, quite the perverted taste her master had), and broke several of his bones in the process of that refusal. Normally you'd think any master would have just cut off her head, but apparently he was still somewhat smitten with the he-woman and did not wish her dead, so she was sold off as a slave instead. Apparently her ungainly strength was quite helpful to the ragtag group of escaped slaves following Yellow-hoof.

Ugmug the True-sprite
Ugmug certainly is an unconventional name for a Spite. And it's quite rare that a Spite is incompetent at hiding among foliage or climbing trees. And when you consider the fact that Ugmug is over 8 feet tall and weighs over one tonne you might get suspicious. Indeed, Ugmug is a Trug - the smallest of his litter and left abandoned as a cub and found in the wilderness by a band of Spites. They debated whether to leave him or kill him, but then decided to take him back for the village elder to decide what to do with. The elder realised that he would make a powerful ally and decided to adopt him into the tribe. Now fully grown, Ugmug serves as the champion and personal bodyguard to the Chief of the Council of the Tentribes. He is loyal, enjoys engaging in unarmed challenges, and earnestly believes himself to be Spite-born. Asides from his massive feedings (and rather massive leavings) he has integrated himself quite successfully into Spite culture.
Karasta Longbraid
Karasta served as a crewman under Captain Creigh on The Dauntless in the Vekkeran Navy. Growing to find that he resented the rather hard-handed Captain he, along with his mates Diggs and Stubbs, staged a mutiny, took over the ship, and sealed the captain in a barrel of rum and sent him adrift. Unsure of what to do next, he renamed the ship The Seawitch and turned to piracy only to find it to his liking. He blazenly sails the Eastern Coast trading lines, pillaging and plundering the merchant ships and coastal villages. Hot-headed and excitable, he is quick to give chase to those he believes to be easy prey.

Maybe this could be a cool boss maybe an event when some-one wins the battle royal of blood gods (maybe primus) they fight this gladiator after for special rewards.

Zarbeg Han (Human)
The story of this freelancer is so full of notable events which in turn have been so widespread as tavern stories that half of the people who have heard about him consider him a near-legendary character, and the other half – a product of eloquent charlatans. He is however most certainly real and even though a good part of his adventures is fairly embroidered, his fighting skills and ability to overcome impossible situations have been confirmed many times by people who are known to have neither imagination, nor sense of humor.
Zarbeg Han is not a traditional mercenary – he doesn’t wait to be hired. Instead, he approaches those would-be employers who have jobs that are extraordinary, difficult to handle in time, unacceptably dangerous or have already been failed by several other “executives”. His services are always expensive and not necessarily paid in gold – as it is rumored, one of his more unusual trophies is the daughter of a mysterious foreign noble. Understandably, very few can afford to hire him but that doesn’t change the fact that during his whole career so far he has been unemployed for only one day (according to the story – the day after he acquired the said trophy from the mysterious noble).
Magramathotha (Daemon)
The old age changes everything and everyone, even a daemon. Magramathotha remembers more than all the races in the Great Realm have forgotten and doesn’t care about any of it. During his millennial existence, he has fought on both sides during the same war, offered his services without ulterior motives, tricked the Blood Gods and once even destroyed his physical manifestation to see what it’s like. His boredom finally overwhelmed him and he took the form of an ordinary man and started living among the mortal denizens of the Great Realm, even submitting his body to a normal aging process. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) an old rival decided to play a trick on him by convincing a particularly slow-witted demonologist to summon him in a forsaken castle, redesigned as prison for daemons by another daemon with a typically twisted sense of humor. Following that turn of events, Magramathotha reduced the demonologist to a bloody mince – mostly because he felt like doing something trivial than anything else – and concluded that the best way to mock his real captor is to stand and do nothing for at least half an eternity. As he later found out, this wasn’t really possible in that particular castle.

Jace and Valice
As a young man, Jace was a treasure hunter with his partner Valice. During one of their adventures in the Crypt of Da'hoon, they were surprised by a daemon. Valice was torn to shreds in front of Jace... and that's all Jace remembers. He had blacked out, and when he came to the daemon was slain and nailed through the head to the altar. Since then, Jace has become aware of a presence within him... calling himself Valice. Returning home, Jace was blamed by many for Valice's death... and one by one those people disappeared without a trace in the night. Jace began to fear the worst... and realised that his alter-ego Valice was behind their deaths. Jace fled fearing that he would kill more... and began working for the Vekkeran army as a lone mercenary. Jace is a rather distant, collected, and professional warrior... while Valice is a cruel and sadistic rager. During times of stress, Valice emerges... sometimes to converse with Jace... and sometimes to take control as a ruthless and psychopathic murderer. Whether Valice is truly the spirit of Valice, possessive magics of the daemon, or a fractured remnant of Jace only Valice knows.

Kraedor Valakess
Kraedor was born as the illegitimate son to House Valakess. He attended the Eastport Military Academy, but was eventually thrown out for falsifying documents. Disowned by his family for his behaviour, he found his way to Vekke and purchased a military command position with stolen family funds. His battalion, Kraedor's Irregulars, was loaned out to Easport to occupy one of the bordertowns which was growing discontent with the high taxation. Kraedor and his battalion got drunk, sacked and looted the town, and sold off the town's men to slavers. As Eastport prepared a military response, he and his men fled to the Kafkan caves, becoming bandits that indiscriminately raid for supplies and gold. Sadistic, lazy, and controlling, he is nevertheless a skilled sowrdsman with a large bounty placed on his head.

Javoc Thay
A former Knight of the Venesian Order, Javoc was overtaken with his desire for power and began taking part in forbidden daemon rituals. He was eventually discovered and expelled from the order. He cursed the order for cowardice and lack of vision, swearing vengeance. He took up work as a mercenary - often working for nefarious causes as they pay the best. Although young, his hair has turned white and his eyes grey from partaking in those dark rituals. Quick thinking, ruthless, and vain, he is a formidable warrior and cunning tactician who upholds a strict yet aberrant code of morals and honour.

Steelskull (Trug)
Tough names result from tough experience. The trug Korl knows that better than most and actually this is one of the few things that he still knows. Being very hard to beat always means that you’ll get a lot of beating. And when your head is always in the way of all kinds of unhealthy objects, it either completely loses its original shape and content, or partially loses its original shape and content. Korl is pretty certain that he’s still alive and following that he’s almost certain that his head still has some shape and content. Especially after some human “healer” added a large metal plate to its left side. Korl can not really remember why this plate had to be added and only vaguely remembers something like a boulder attached to a tree branch but he’s almost certain that everyone who has ever tried to rob shape and content from his head no longer possesses neither particularly describable shape, nor much content. Nowadays he doesn’t ask himself many questions but he remains convinced that he has to keep what’s left of the shape and the content of his head and destroy the shape and the content of everyone who does not agree with that.
Viskara “Halfbreed” (Elaar)
Viskara is a pure Elaar, an offspring of other pure Elaars. Unfortunately, her family and particularly her mother fell victim to a complex plot which started a particularly nasty episode in the centuries-old power games between several noble Elaar families. After a series of staged events and manipulations, involving a handsome human, a chain of rumors and a transmutator, the newborn Viskara was accused of impurity, her mother – of cuckoldry and her father – of stupidity. All of these because the baby didn’t have pointy ears.
Viskara herself didn’t learn about these affairs before her 20th birthday. Having been in exile that she didn’t even know about ever since her father gave her to a group of circus performers, she spent most of her life thinking that her parents are traveling acrobats. Another series of complex events however introduced her to the transmutator who was ultimately responsible for her “human ears”. He revealed her true identity and all the complications that come with it, after explaining that he’s running for his life for the last 20 years because his former employers are attempting to cover their tracks.
Needless to say, this changed Viskara’s life completely. Being already a developed athlete, she left the traveling circus and started looking for opportunities to make her skills deadlier, with an intriguing plan in mind. Soon after, she had the chance to meet Jimmy the Squid himself…

Zadhe Olerazzi
Zadhe grew up an orphan in the slums of Gharapest. He threw in with the local gangs, eventually making his way up in the Thieves Guild. Getting a taste of a better lifestyle and wanting more, he formed his own breakaway faction, dedicated to the selling of imported "street-spices". Through nefarious means, he gained a stranglehold over any competitors and worked his way into corrupting (and supplying) key city law enforcement officials. Styling himself as "King Zadhe" (but referred to as "King Twitchy" behind his back) he is extremely nervous with cut-throat business sense and a wild temper.

Vordraneth - The Scourge of Trebassis
(Daemon)
Vordraneth is a minor power once known and feared as one of the Fists of the Blood Gods who would spread destruction and death upon the mortal realm as the Gods saw fit. He was, however, banished to the earthly realm when he refused to murder the innocent children of one who had offended the Gods. Wanting nothing more than to go home, he has spent countless years wandering the land in isolation and exile, becoming more and more resentful of the 'inferior' mortals he sought to protect. Learning that a nexus point exists between the two realms between the Towers of Karaldorre, he has made it his mission to bring war to the city to create enough bloodshed to activate the portal to return home... which at the same time would allow other, terrible things to come through from the other side....

Baron Curbassis
Curbassis is a powerful and hedonistic high ranking noble and member of the city council. 10 years ago, he fell sick during the plague outbreak which decimated the population. Bedridden, with deteriorating health and his personal doctors and temple healers unable to do anything, he made a miraculous recovery while the rest of the inflicted were quarantined and burned. Unknown to all others, Curbassis had made a deal with Moethia, the diety of poison, disease, and decay to restore his health in return for honouring the diety's name. Since then, many influential city members have succumbed to mysterious and undiagnosed illnesses as Curbassis has wormed his way into the city works department...

I certainly appreciate your enthusiasm and effort, however, most of those names are copyrighted and using them would be a legal issue, but more importantly the Great Realm has its own lore and bringing in other universes' characters would be out of place.
Good luck in the Pit!

Greybane
A mercenary, soldier, commander, Greybane has been (and done) many things in his life. He is best physically described as a weathered and crotchety old man, but don't let that fool you! In his prime he was the greatest swordsman this side of the Red River and served various lords and ladies, earning great renown. Greybane has since long passed his prime but his fighting is still an extraordinary thing to behold, his fights are often described as: short, sweet, and punctual. Greybane searches the lands of The Great Realm looking for someone, some thing to finally put him to rest. He was so named due to the fact that he, even in his 20's, developed greying hair which was completely grey by his early 30's (some speculate this is due to the intense training he went through as an apprentice to a legendary gladiator whose name brings the mightiest to their knees). Ruthless, quick, intelligent (and rather snarky), Greybane is a staunch ally or a terrible foe, no one wants to be on the receiving-end of this Veteran of the Great Realm!
