Is this supposed to happen?

KILZ flashes madly around the arena.
KILZ drives towards TRAFALGAR LAW and seeks to destroy him.
KILZ tries to knock TRAFALGAR LAW down with the force of the blow! (-Barreling Attack-)

KILZ jumps and skips around his adversary.
KILZ attacks in a frenzy.

So we can see the barreling attack hit but there is no damage which i guess happens now, there is no resist message which i have seen in other fights, but yet Trafalgar Law was not knocked down.

Sometimes your attempt just fails (which is what happened here). Other times it is successful but is resisted by the opponent which is when you see the purple resist messge.
