Even The Overlord makes mistakes depsite his best efforts! If you think you might have found a bug with the new update? Go ahead and report them here in this thread and I'll do my best to squash it in a timely manner. Thanks!

I've had a report of a gladiator having their skills reset but not getting their training points refunded. If this happens to you, please send me a PM and let me know the name of the gladiator.

Surprise Ending: if the attack was going to hit a person with an injury when the attack is bounced back it still does the + damage from injury even if the attacking glad has 0 injuries on them.

I've got one of my gladiator with a point in skill which I didn't choose and cannot remove (one point in shield for Jannya in team aquitaine)

Seems like I still got disarmed, or perhaps it was just a text error?

Is someone having the same problem as me? My glads can't fight at all. They can't do tavern contracts,black market fights, and arena fights. It's really frustrating.

atm its 1 free race change per team. i belived it to be 1 free change per glad.

*checks the code* Ah-ha! The fix for that is a bit more involved than a simple wave of my magic bug stomping wand...I'll fix it out as soon as I can. :)

I'll take a look at the code as that skill was done awhile back but from the top of my head I believe surprise ending redirects everything that would have happened to the theatrics gladiator: base damage, injuries bonus damage, skill effects and all. It's one of the skills that border on the super natural.

You need to go to the skills screen and respec your gladiator and then press the ACCEPT button at the bottom of the page before you can initiate any fights. In the meantime your gladiator can still be called upon to fight in the arena and if this happens your gladiator will fight knowing only their weapon skill from their old build. Health and endurance are actually calculated to the 100th place but only shown as a whole number. It is possible Vyers still had 0.05 health or something like that. I'll double check again though to make sure no gremlins are hiding in that section of code.

Hard to know if it is a text error or not. Was SAGARIS fighting with his original weapon afterward or the Bastard Sword picked up off the ground? How about The Daemon?

I noticed in the Maximus Battle Royal Anger Rising was removed due to exhaustion but the Enforcer and Crowd decided they still wanted to punish him! I belive he was actually removed from battle but the code that punishes inactive glads is somehow not aware the glad has been removed. If anyone sees this in other fights, please let me know.

Darn, it was a glitch...I thought I found some awesome undead build that allows your gladiator to continue fighting well after he has passed out and run out of health. He was just trying to lend an extra hand to Lords Fury

Regarding Never Say Die:


How many trains does that glad have in it? Is this screen shot using blow-by-blow details?

9 skills. Yeah it's blow by blow details. But I guess from Kaos' post that the health boost applies first; then the blue description of skill activation pops up. Could that be the case?

My glads didn't fall in that situation afterwards but searching for an activation of this skill in other players' battle reports may help. I'll search soon..

Edit: Every war glad seems to have invested in Death from Above and War Cry :)

Sadly it only works when using a defensive strategy so you should run a parry X strat on even/odd rounds toi make use of it

It happens when your glad is on the verge of losing and has less than half health left.. both the conditions are necessary to activate it. So if you are winning then it may not activate even if you have less than half the health..I guess.

But yeah Sunrise does use parry.

Edit: Yeah we are getting a boost; just that first the boost is given and then the skill is shown to be activated.

My glad Olga didn't get the rank 10 stat achievement.

I trained up the last few points on her Intellect with the left over training points from respec, and did not get the Smartest in Class and Olympian achievement, it was her last stat needed to go olympian.

Hey I thought we were able to redo any of our old gladiator's race for free...or am I reading it wrong? After fixing my 2nd gladiator, didnt even pay attention until i saw the 65 trophies bite the dust. Assuming reimbursement for them or did i just throw them away??

I don't know if this is a bug or not but is Barreling Attack supposed to do some damage since the change to the skill tree?

HYPNOTOAD rams into CLEOME and looks to pound his adversary.

Because everytime that the skill activates my gladiator does no damage at all.

I don't know if this is a bug or not but its pretty annoying. I mean really only 57 damage with a serious injury and a 2 handed weapon with 269 base damage and 122 strength I've seen this in my other fights where I won't hit at all or barely have any damage.

Wait till your first hit of the match is a 2 damage rampage even though your glad has 10 points in rampage and crippling might.... yup its already happened to my glads.

Just had a black market fight guess what happened my glad triggered adrenaline rush and got 1 damage then had a barreling attack which did no damage

I doubt it's a bug. It's a combination of heavy armor and tank. It really isn't that difficult to turn your rage into a tank buster if you pick the right skills and modify your strats. My over-the-hill-starting-glad-roll-up-non-HOL-slave speed rage eats tanks for breakfast.

I found, that the Barreling Attack doesn't knock opponents to the ground even when doing damage (I never saw it happen). Maybe becouse it is lvl2 or maybe it doesn't dislpay the "prone" status from BA (text doesn't say the opponent tried to get up though).

BA can be resisted now, so maybe the knock down got resisted but the damage went through...

BA got excessively downgraded in the update : not only the knockdown is often resisted now but it also does not cause damage anymore... That's just too much and making the skill not worth it anymore...

The changes to Barreling attack were to bring the skill inline with everything else. Before the update the chance to knock someone down was the same at skill level 1 or 10, only the frequency as which you attempted the skill changed. Now the chance to actually knock them down is tied to your skill level and attributes. If you see it is resisted a large part of that is because your gladiator actually failed to execute the skill properly. If you aren't finding much success with it, focus on the key attributes and expect it to be resisted sometimes as getting knocked down has much more severe consequences now.

The changes to Barreling attack were to bring the skill inline with everything else. Before the update the chance to knock someone down was the same at skill level 1 or 10, only the frequency as which you attempted the skill changed. Now the chance to actually knock them down is tied to your skill level and attributes. If you see it is resisted a large part of that is because your gladiator actually failed to execute the skill properly. If you aren't finding much success with it, focus on the key attributes and expect it to be resisted sometimes as getting knocked down has much more severe consequences now.

I get the idea that the Knockdown effect can be resisted but does that also tie into the fact that Barreling attack does no damage at all? Even if the other guy resisted the knockdown, he still get a maul/sword/axe/etc to the face.

Here you can see that Barreling attack does damage to my gladiator and she ends up in a prone state afterward:
MESSERSCHMIDT attempts to squash her enemy with her RUNE-POUNDED BATTLE FLAIL.
MESSERSCHMIDT tries to knock CLEOME down with the force of the blow! (-Barreling Attack-)
The blow to CLEOME's side lands with cyclopean force! (+200 Damage)

Here you can see that the effect of Barreling attack of my gladiator is resisted and it does no damage:
MELILOTUS conservatively circles around his enemy.
MELILOTUS nearly falls as he attacks with his RUNE-POUNDED HAND AXE.
MELILOTUS tries to knock GUTSANDGOO down with the force of the blow! (-Barreling Attack-)

Here you can see that I was able to hit the guy with Barreling attack and he ended up in a prone state but I didn't do any damage at all:

It doesn't look right to me.

I agree with you but as Nate stated being knocked down has gotten more severe effects (although I haven't really looked into it I know my 2 Hander does so little that the crowd starts to get mad at him after 3 rounds lol) There are several skills that appear like that there's also War Cry which is able to do damage and an effect or just the effect.
