Tavern Fights and EXP Degrade

Has anyone else noticed that a gladiators first list of available fights in the tavern each day offers more gold and exp. They decline with each (successful?) contract.

Has anyone identified if you space accepting a contract to every few hours, if the reward scales back up?

I haven't noticed a change if I wait, but I haven't been paying much attention either. Would be interesting to see what you find out.
