axe and mace vs blade

Hoping some experienced players can help me out. I understand that blades cause more bleeding and are faster. This being said, what is the advantage of using an axe or mace compared to a sword with the same speed, since blades have the advantage of causing bleeding. Are the mace and axe better at smashing through heavy armor?

I'm not sure but I can say that my A&M War has never had a deflection with her weapons.

Wait till you fight echo :) 75% of Belgarads attacks using maces on Echo are deflections at 195 str.

A&M has better armor penetration but a loss of speed.

When you reach Primus where War and Theatrics have 100 armor or more, it's worth it !

yeah, power rage > speed rage at the top


at least till primus is flooded with rage again. then the speedsters will have their moment again

So it sounds like ax and mace really shine at the higher levels when you start facing heavily armored opponents. Thanks for the helpful info and quick response. love how active the forum is.
